In the strangest way, life sometimes almost dares you to put your money where your mouth is and affirm the things you believe. On the very day, I started this blog, I encountered unimaginable physical pain due to an infection. Suffice to say, I did not feel very inspired and hopeful, to the point where I began thinking of that place in the sky we go to when this life is over.
This episode gave me a chance to reflect (as extreme pain sometimes does), and I pondered a while on something I heard a preacher-man say some 14 years ago...'If you know why you've been given life, then death has to wait until you're finished!' Pretty gutsy stuff, but it relates to the theme of 'life purpose' and for those that prefer the terminology, 'Destiny!'
I'm not convinced that people who attain self-actualisation, fulfill their life purpose, can live life without hope. What with all the setbacks faced and all the opposing challenges glaring at those who dare to dream great dreams, it's little wonder that people who do fulfil their life purpose are strong characters. While I affirm that living a life of hope draws hope itself, I am painstakingly aware that sometimes ominous forces have an agenda to derail your life of positive living. Funny that!
